PRE-SCHOOL GROUPS - 3 TO 5 YEARS

By 3 to 4 years old many children are now ready to attend classes with more independence from their carers, and we encourage the children to participate by themselves as much as possible (parents remain in the sessions at the back of the venue). 

At this stage we:

	introduce tuned percussion instruments for steady beat accompaniment to songs
	echo simple rhythmic patterns by listening and copying
	improvise rhythms by using images of sound patterns
	further develop in-tune singing

Class size is restricted to 8 children to ensure individual attention is available to each child when needed.  Well behaved younger siblings may attend this class with an older brother or sister but remain under the supervision of their parent or carer.
